One Person Injured In Bakersfield Hit-And-Run Car Accident By Potomac Avenue and Quantico Avenue

BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA (June 10, 2021) – One person was injured in a hit-and-run car accident near the intersection of Potomac Avenue and Quantico Avenue.

California Highway Patrol are saying that the accident took place around 3:10 p.m. on Tuesday. For reasons that remain under investigation two vehicles crashed in the intersection and one fled the scene.

Paramedics took one person to the hospital but they are expected to survive. A full investigation into the collision remains ongoing at this time.

According to California Vehicle Code 20001, “The driver of a vehicle involved in an accident resulting in injury to a person, other than himself or herself, or in the death of a person shall immediately stop the vehicle at the scene of the accident and shall fulfill the requirements of Sections 20003 and 20004.” Any person that is injured due to the negligence of another driver may be able to seek damages  through a bodily injury claim.
