DUI Driver Arrested After Costa Mesa Pedestrian Accident On Newport Boulevard
COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA (February 22, 2021) – A pedestrian was injured in a car accident involving a drunk driver on Newport Boulevard.
California Highway Patrol are saying that the accident took place around 2:00 a.m. on Sunday. A suspected drunk driver drove his pickup truck through a red light.
That driver hit a pedestrian causing them serious injuries. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital in order to receive treatment.
Police later arrested the driver involved on suspicion of DUI. An investigation remains ongoing at this time.
