Two People Injured In Costa Mesa DUI Car Accident On Newport Boulevard
COSTA MESA, CALIFONRIA (February 21, 2021) – Two people were injured in a car accident on Newport Boulevard by 19th Street.
California Highway Patrol are saying that the accident took place around 2:07 a.m. on Sunday. For reasons that remain under investigation a vehicle drove through a red light before striking a pedestrian and then hitting a car.
Firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene of the collision in order to help all of the victims. Two people were taken to the hospital and the driver that hit them was later arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.
A full investigation into the cause of the crash remains ongoing at this time.
