Pedestrian Seriously Injured In Del Mar Hit-And-Run Car Accident Along 13th Street

DEL MAR, CALIFORNIA (November 14, 2019) – A 39-year-old pedestrian was seriously injured in a car accident that took place by 11th Street near Camino Del Mar. 

California Highway Patrol are saying that the accident first occurred around 1:00 a.m. The victim was hit by the car and then dragged into an alley. 

Bystanders found the pedestrian unconscious and called police. He was taken to the hospital with major injuries. 

A search for the driver remains ongoing at this time.

According to California Vehicle Code 23152, “(a) It is unlawful for a person who is under the influence of any alcoholic beverage to drive a vehicle.
