One Person Injured In Hoopa Hit-And-Run Car Accident On Highway 96 By Cal Pack Road
HOOPA, CALIFORNIA (June 30, 2020) – One person was injured in a hit-and-run car accident along Highway 96 by Cal Pack Road.
California Highway Patrol are saying that the accident took place around 10:00 p.m. For reasons that remain under investigation a car struck the pedestrian and then fled the scene.
Paramedics were called to the scene in order to help the victim. An investigation into the cause of the accident remains ongoing at this time.

According to California Vehicle Code 20001, “The driver of a vehicle involved in an accident resulting in injury to a person, other than himself or herself, or in the death of a person shall immediately stop the vehicle at the scene of the accident and shall fulfill the requirements of Sections 20003 and 20004.” Drivers that flee the scene of car accidents may face civil and criminal liability.
