PALMDALE, CALIFORNIA (February 2, 2020) – A 65-year-old man has tragically died in a car accident that took place along 106th Street.
California Highway Patrol are saying that the collision occurred around 9:10 a.m. For reasons that remain under investigation a car hit the motorcyclists not far from Cima Mesa Road.
Paramedics were called to the scene of the collision in order to help the victim. Neither drugs nor alcohol are believed to be factors in the crash.
Liability In Palmdale Motorcycle Accidents
Motorcyclists are more likely to be involved in car accidents due to their small profile. Many accidents take place when drivers make unsafe lane changes. According to California Vehicle Code 22107, “No person shall turn a vehicle from a direct course or move right or left upon a roadway until such movement can be made with reasonable safety and then only after the giving of an appropriate signal in the manner provided in this chapter in the event any other vehicle may be affected by the movement.” The family of any victim that died in a car accident may have legal recourse through a wrongful death claim. There are, however, statute of limitations associated with being able to file a claim. It is therefore important to act quickly.
