SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA (November 18, 2020) – A 4-year-old girl was injured in an escalator accident at the Fashion Valley mall inside a Bloomingdale’s along Friars Road.

San Diego police officials are saying that the accident took place around 4:30 p.m. at a Bloomingdale’s. The child’s hand became stuck in the escalator and she had to be rescued by firefighters.

Paramedics took the victim to the Rady Children’s Hospital so that she could receive treatment. An investigation into the Fashion Valley mall accident remains ongoing at this time.
