Michael Klassen Shandon: Michael Klassen of Peddle Beach Injured In Car Accident On Highway 46 Near Cholame “Y” Intersection In Shandon
SHANDON, CALIFORNIA (September 1, 2019) – A 67-year-old man identified as Michael Klassen was injured in a car accident on Highway 46 near the Cholame Y intersection.
California Highway Patrol are saying that the accident took place around 7:30 a.m. One driver was attempting to pass a semi truck on Highway 56.
That driver realized he couldn’t pass the semi-truck and got back into his lane. But due to his speed he lost control of his vehicle and collided head-on with a vehicle driven by Michael Klassen.
Firefighters and paramedics rushed to the scene in order to help the victim. Michael Klassen then had to be transported to the hospital.
An investigation into the cause of the crash remains ongoing, but alcohol is not suspected to be a factor.
