Fresno County, CA (August 3, 2023) A woman was killed and a man injured Wednesday night after a collision at 5:45 p.m. in Fresno County. The man was driving a Honda accord when he crashed into a parked box truck, according to California Highway Patrol.

The accident took place near Clovis Avenue and American Avenue around 5:45 p.m. Officials told Fox 26 News that the man was driving and hit the truck at a high speed, injuring himself and killing his passenger, who is only described as female at this time.
CHP said the man was intoxicated and will face felony DUI charges as well as a possible vehicular manslaughter charge. The people inside the box truck were not injured.
