San Luis Obispo, CA (August 21, 2023) A 65-year-old man was hit by a vehicle and seriously injured on Saturday evening in San Luis Obispo, according to San Luis Obispo Police Officers.

The accident happened around 11:30 p.m. according to police officers. Officers and San Luis Obispo Fire Department Personnel arrived at the intersection of Santa Rosa and Higuera Street. They found an adult male laying in the roadway. The victim was injured and it was obvious to authorities that he had been hit by a vehicle.
Concerned citizens in the area actually blocked the roadway as they awaited help. The man was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. The driver who hit the victim was not at the scene and Police are searching for the suspect in this hit-and-run accident.
