HUMBOLDT COUNTY, CA (SEPTEMBER 19, 2023): 27-year-old Ashley Hipol suffered severe injures following a hit-and-run pedestrian collision on Highway 101 last week.
Reports from the California Highway Patrol indicate that the incident occurred on September 12th at around 5:57 a.m. Hipol was struck by a vehicle while either walking or laying down. The cause of the collision remains unclear.

The driver subsequently fled the scene. Paramedics rushed Hipol to St. Joseph’s Hospital with major wounds. Her current conditions is unknown.
Authorities are unsure whether the driver was aware that they had ran over a person. Humboldt authorities continue to investigate this collision involving Ashley Hipol.
