North Hills, CA (March 18, 2024) Reports of four vehicles colliding in North Hills began coming in right around 7:30 p.m. on Sunday. The major crash left five people with injuries, two of whom were said to be in critical condition.
The four vehicles collided near 17000 W. Lassen Street at the intersection of Balboa Boulevard. Police officers at the scene reported that at least one of the vehicles rolled, eventually stopping on its roof.

The Los Angeles Fire Department was called to the scene and found the four vehicles with collision damage blocking the roadway. They quickly began checking vehicles to help anyone in need. Nicholas Prange, spokesperson for the Los Angeles Fire Department, said they found five people at the scene with injuries. Two of those five had sustained serious injuries during the crash. Paramedics took all five to the hospital to receive treatment. Two remain in serious condition, Prange said.
Tow trucks had to be called to the scene to remove vehicles and crews cleaned glass and debris from the roadway. Investigators are still working this case to determine what led up to this crash and who was at fault.
