2 Men Dead in Tulare Crash: 3 Teens Stole Car

Six people were injured and one person was arrested in a DUI crash in Northridge.

Tulare, CA (June 18, 2024) A group of teenagers caused a serious car crash that led to the death of two people in Tulare. The fatal collision occurred on Saturday morning.

At about 4:30 a.m., the Tulare Police Department got word of a two-car crash. They responded to the scene at O Street and Bardsley Avenue. When officers arrived, they saw the two cars: a 2015 Hyundai Sonata, and a 2005 Nissan Sentra.

The crash had caused the Nissan to land in the drive-thru of a Burger King. When police looked inside the vehicle, they found two men. The driver, a 35-year-old, was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger, a 43-year-old, was found alive with severe injuries. Tragically, he too died at the hospital.

Three teenage boys were located near the Hyundai. Upon investigation, officers learned that the car had been stolen from somewhere in Visalia. Authorities report that the one who drove the vehicle was under the influence (and 17 years old). He is from Goshen, and he was arrested. His two passengers, Jose Alfredo Encizo and Emanuel Montoya, both 18, were also arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle.

The identities of the victims of this senseless crime have yet to be released.
