Webster, CA (July 30, 2024) A collision between a motorcycle and another vehicle occurred in Webster on Interstate 80. It all happened on Monday afternoon, July 29th, just after 2:00 p.m., according to reports. It all happened just west of Sacramento, and left the motorcyclist with injuries.
A motorcyclist headed along Interstate 80 in Webster on Monday afternoon as another vehicle approached. For reasons that are still being investigated, the two collided at 2:07 p.m. The impact sent the motorcyclist flying before they landed on the ground. The motorcycle, now dented, slid across the roadway for several feet before coming to a stop. The driver of the other vehicles immediately stopped and got out to assist the rider. Reports indicated that about five or six other vehicles stopped as well, as their drivers hurried to offer aid to the motorcyclist.

The 911 calls began pouring in and officers made their way to the scene. Upon arrival they discovered that the collision had caused a huge traffic hazard and cars were backed up on the Interstate. They called for paramedics, who arrived quickly and loaded the injured motorcyclist into an ambulance. They were taken to a local hospital to receive emergency treatment, reports indicated. It is not fully known, at this time, if anyone else sustained injuries in this collision.
Officers called for a tow truck to come to the scene and remove the motorcycle from the interstate. They investigated the scene and are working to determine not only what caused this motorcycle accident in Webster, but also, who was at fault.
