Murrieta, CA (August 6, 2024) A driver was tragically killed today in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 15 in Murrieta.
The collision was reported at about 6:18 a.m. on northbound I-15 at Winchester Road.
For unknown reasons, a pickup truck and a Toyota Camry collided in the No. 2 lane. The truck then overturned into the center divider, and the driver was ejected out of the cab and onto the southbound shoulder.
The victim in the truck was pronounced dead at the scene. The Toyota driver sustained minor injuries.
Update: The victim has been identified as Francisco Torres, 52, from San Jacinto.
