Santa Ana, CA (August 19, 2024) A pedestrian was tragically struck and killed by a car on Friday.
At about 8:19 p.m., Santa Ana police were notified about the fatal collision. They responded to the scene at Fairview and Harvard Streets to find a 32-year-old man dead on the scene.
Reports say that the man was crossing the street in a crosswalk but did not have the walk sign. A woman driving down the road struck him and left the scene. However, a few minutes later, she returned and cooperated with the officers.
Police said that drugs and alcohol do not seem to be factors in the collision. They are still investigating the accident to determine if this is a hit-and-run due to the fact that she returned to the scene.
