Among the vehicles were a gray 2022 BMW sedan and a white 4-door Acura sedan. Initial reports indicated that the Acura was heading north when it suddenly sideswiped the BMW. The driver of the BMW lost control, due to the force from the impact, and slammed into a pole, according to video footage. The driver of the Acura then hit the gas and drove away from the scene, leaving the driver of the BMW behind with serious injuries.

The Los Angeles Police Department arrived at the scene and found the lone BMW with major damage, stopped near the pole. Officers found the driver of the BMW with serious injuries as they waited for paramedics to arrive at the scene. Paramedics rushed the injured driver to a local hospital via ambulance. Reports indicated that the driver had sustained “severe” injuries in the accident.
