Sacramento, CA (September 6, 2024) A hit-and-run in South Sacramento left a woman with serious injuries on Thursday night, September 5th, 2024. The accident occurred at the intersection of Power Inn Road and 35th Avenue around 9:30 p.m., officers reported.
The sun had already set in Sacramento as a woman walked beneath the street lights on the south side of the city. As she approached the intersection of Power Inn Road and 35th Avenue, a vehicle also approached the intersection. For reasons that are still unknown, the vehicle struck the woman. However, instead of stopping to help the victim and wait for authorities, the driver fled the scene, leaving the pedestrian alone with serious injuries.
The Sacramento Police Department arrived at the scene and found the woman on the ground, seriously injured. They called for an ambulance, which arrived quickly and rushed the victim to a local hospital. As of Friday morning, September 6th, there have been no updates on the victim’s condition.
