Huntington Beach, CA (September 9, 2024) Sadness swept through the community of Huntington Beach on Sunday morning, September 8th, as news spread of a fatal collision. Two people, a man and a woman, lost their lives when their Toyota collided with an Amazon Van. It happened at approximately 10:00 a.m. at the intersection of Graham Street and Bolsa Avenue.
Initial reports indicated that a Toyota Sienna, driven by a 61-year-old man from Garden Grove, was headed south on Graham Street Street. At the same time, an Amazon cargo van was traveling east on Bolsa Avenue. Officers reported that the Amazing van drove through the intersection on a green light. As it went through the intersection, it collided with the Toyota, officers reported.
Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and found the Amazon delivery van with major front-end damage. The Toyota, however, was totaled, officers revealed. Authorities hurried to the Toyota, prepared to administer life-saving treatment. Unfortunately, the driver and his female passenger were both killed in the accident. With heavy hearts, officers pronounced them both dead at the scene. The driver of the Amazon delivery van, a 39-year-old Fountain Valley man, was found with non-life-threatening injuries and taken to a local hospital to receive treatment.

Officers are investigating this collision to determine what happened at that Huntington Beach intersection, as well as who was at fault for this deadly collision. Tow trucks arrived at the scene to remove both of the damaged vehicles from the roadway and crews worked as fast as they could to clean up the debris and glass.
