Hollywood, CA (October 11, 2024) A two-vehicle collision occurred in Hollywood on Thursday afternoon, October 10th, 2024, leaving three people with injuries. The accident was reported at approximately 4:40 p.m., and responding authorities arrived at the West Fountain Avenue scene.
Two vehicles were traveling along West Fountain Road in Hollywood on Thursday afternoon. As they headed down the 7600 block of the roadway, they collided for unknown reasons. The collision left both vehicles with major damage, sitting in the middle of the roadway. The impact sent debris flying in every direction, littering the roadway and causing issues for other motorists.
The Los Angeles Fire Department arrived at the scene and hurried to the vehicles, ready to give medical attention to anyone who had been injured. Reports indicated that they found two people trapped inside one of the vehicles. They had to use special tools to extricate the two before paramedics rushed them to a nearby hospital for treatment. A third person was found in the second vehicle, also with serious injuries. They were taken to a local hospital to receive treatment for major injuries.

Officers are still unsure what caused this collision, and have reported that the investigation is ongoing. Tow trucks were called to remove the damaged vehicles from the roadway and crews worked to clear the glass and debris from West Fountain Avenue. They continue to investigate the collision to not only determine what caused this two-vehicle collision, but also, who was at fault.
