Fresno, CA (October 24, 2024) At least one person sustained injuries in a two-vehicle collision that occurred at a Fresno intersection this morning. The accident occurred at approximately 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of South Hayes Avenue and West California Avenue on Thursday, October 24th.
A gold Toyota Camry sedan and a silver Nissan collided at the intersection, according to the California Highway Patrol. The cause of this collision is still unknown. Officers said they arrived to find the Nissan in a field on the side of the road. A trail of debris was also at the scene.
Officers arrived and found at least one person with injuries, according to reports. However, it has not been disclosed if they were treated at the scene or taken to a hospital. Following the initial investigation, tow trucks arrived at the scene to remove both damaged vehicles. Crews worked as quickly as the could to remove the debris from the roadway so traffic could resume normally. The accident remains under investigation as officers work to determine what happened at that Fresno intersection, as well as who was at fault.
