Rohnert Park, CA (July 29, 2023) A 51-year-old Santa Rosa resident was cycling in Rohnert Park when they were hit by a Ram 1500 and critically insured.
The Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety (RPDPS) was called to the 5700 block of Commerce Boulevard around 12:40 p.m. on Friday. Upon arrival, they found the cyclist laying on the ground with life-threatening injuries.

According to the RPDPS, the Ram was turning into the northbound lane of Commerce Boulevard from a parking lot when it hit the bicyclist who was going south.
The cyclist was taken to the hospital where he later died. The driver of the Ram remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Police are investigating the crash, but drugs and alcohol do not seem to be a factor.
