Las Vegas, NV (May 30. 2024) A bicyclist remains in critical condition following a collision with a vehicle in central Las Vegas. It happened on Wednesday evening, May 29th, on North City Parkway, according to reports from the Metro Police Department. Authorities are working to determine what happened as the bicyclist clings to life.
A bicyclist was riding in the 300 block of North City Parkway on Wednesday evening, not far from Bonanza Road. As they rode, a black sedan approached them and suddenly drifted and struck the bicycle. The force knocked the rider from the bike and he landed on the ground, several feet away. The driver of the sedan immediately stopped and waited for police officers to arrive, near Interstate 15.

Officers with the Metro Police Department arrived and found the victim on the ground with obvious injuries. Paramedics rushed to the bicyclist’s side and began life-saving measures before carefully placing them in an ambulance. They rushed the bicyclist to a local hospital to receive emergency treatment for life-threatening injuries, according to reports. The victim remains in critical condition.
Evidence was gathered and officers do not believe that impairment was a factor in this collision.
