Bicyclist killed in Los Angeles hit-and-run crash.

Los Angeles, CA (October 28, 2024) A hit-and-run collision in the Pico-Union area of Los Angeles claimed a bicyclist’s life on Sunday night, October 27th. The accident happened at the intersection of 23rd Street and Normandie Avenue, right around 10:00 p.m.

The bicyclist, identified only as a man, was riding near the intersection of 23rd Street and Normandie Avenue as a vehicle approached. For reasons that remain unknown, the vehicle struck the bicycle, knocking the rider to the ground. However, instead of stopping to help and wait for authorities, the driver fled the scene.

When emergency personnel arrived at the scene, they found the bicycle dented and on the ground. Several feet away was the rider. Officers rushed to his side, ready to offer medical aid, but found that he had already succumbed to his injuries. Sadly, the bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by authorities.

Officers gathered evidence and are working to piece together what type of vehicle struck the bicyclist. They are determined to not only find the vehicle that struck the victim, but also find the driver responsible. The Collision remains under investigation, officers reported.
