San Diego, CA (July 23, 2024) A bicyclist was critically injured this morning in Mira Mesa.
The 74-year-old man was riding a two-wheel bike on a thoroughfare when he lost control for unknown reasons. He was heading north in the 10700 block of Camino Santa Fe,
south of Calle Cristobal.
San Diego Police Department reported that just before 8:30 a.m., the bike hit a curb and fell over. This caused the man to tumble into the road and sustain critical wounds.
Paramedics rushed the man to a hospital for treatment. Reports state that he suffered a brain bleed, a broken collarbone and several fractured ribs. At the time of writing, his condition is unknown.
