Sacramento, CA (October 18, 2024) A two-vehicle collision in Sacramento on Monday morning, October 14th, left one person injured. The accident occurred on Highway 51 in the Ben Ali neighborhood, around 8:45 a.m. Reports indicated that the accident happened near the Marconi Avenue off-ramp.
The morning commute was well underway in Sacramento. Vehicles headed along Highway 51 at a steady pace, until two vehicles collided in the northbound lanes. The two damaged vehicles came to a stop on the highway, blocking lanes of traffic. Debris was also tossed in every direction.
The California Highway Patrol arrived at the scene and found the two damaged vehicles. They checked the vehicles for anyone in need of medical attention and found one person who had sustained injuries. However, at this time, it isn’t known if the victim was treated at the scene or sent to a hospital in the area. Officers reported that the victim’s injuries were non-life-threatening.
Investigators are working to determine what exactly happened to cause this two-vehicle collision on Highway 51. They are also determined to figure out who was responsible for this accident. A tow truck was called to remove at least one of the vehicles from the scene and crews worked quickly to remove the debris from the highway.
