Lake County, CA (June 21, 2024)
A very unfortunate car crash occurred last night, Thursday, just before 4:30 p.m.
Three people were driving in a 2003 Toyota Camry northbound on Highway 29. He was apparently driving at a very high rate of speed. He then lost control of the car, crashing into a tree on the east side of the road. The vehicle was heavily damaged in the collision.
Even worse, everyone in the car sustained injuries–but some fared better than others. A passenger in the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and and the other passenger sustained major injuries that called for a helicopter to take them to a Santa Rosa hospital.
Despite everyone in the car wearing their seatbelts, the crash was too violent. Police have reported that they expect alcohol was involved in this incident.
The investigation into the collision continues on. The identity of the passenger who was tragically killed has not been released.
