1 Killed: Car Slams 2nd Story of Home in San Jose DUI

San Jose, CA (July 2, 2024) Early Saturday morning, a driver lost control of her vehicle and a fatal collision occurred.

It was shortly before 2:30 a.m. when a woman was driving in the area of Francis Drive and McKee Road. Apparently, investigation has revealed that she was speeding at this time. As she traveled westbound on McKee, she lost control of her car.

When she lost control, the car flew over the center median and the eastbound lanes of the road. Then, her vehicle struck the curb before crashing through a fence and slamming into the second story of a home.

Tragically, the driver had a passenger in her car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries. She was taken to a hospital. Later, police arrested her for gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.

Reports say that there were people in the home that was struck by the car. Thankfully, they were not injured.
