LONG BEACH, CA (May 27, 2022) – One person was killed in a fiery multi-vehicle crash on the 710 freeway in Long Beach, which also involved a big rig according to ABC News.
The California Highway Patrol was called to the scene around 3 a.m. on Thursday, where three vehicles collided with each other on the 710 freeway near the North Long Beach Boulevard off ramp. The vehicles were described by the CHP as a white Toyota Tundra, a white sedan and a big rig truck.
One of the vehicles collided with the big rig truck and caught fire, and one person was said to be trapped inside one of the vehicles, although details are unavailable at the time of this writing.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident caused the closure of all lanes for several hours while police and emergency response investigated the accident and cleared the scene.
