San Diego, CA (July 12, 2024)
An accident occurred this morning in Chula Vista, prompting closures of Telegraph Canyon Road between Heritage Road and Medical Center. Paseo Ladera between Sesame Street and Givens Street was also closed.
The closures were announced around 6:15 a.m. after the crash occurred early this morning. We don’t yet know how many vehicles were involved or how many people were affected.
Details are still coming out, but we know that one victim of the collision was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Their current condition is not known at the time of writing.
The Chula Vista Police Department reported that they arrested a 19-year-old man on suspicion of DUI.
An investigation is still ongoing.
