San Luis Obispo County, CA (July 12, 2024) A scary crash occurred on the afternoon of July 4 that injured both occupants in the vehicle.
California Highway Patrol and Cal Fire were alerted to the crash at about 3:10 p.m. that day. When they arrived, they saw that a Tesla had somehow flown off of the eastbound lane of state Highway 46.
CHP reported that the car was so far down the face of a cliff that you could not easily see it from the road. Cal Fire urgently worked to rescue the two people in the car from about 200 feet down the hill.
Thankfully, they were able to recover both occupants, but they were badly injured. One was transported to the hospital with moderate injuries, while the other was airlifted to the hospital with major injuries.
