Folsom, CA (October 7, 2024) A multi-vehicle collision occurred on Folsom Boulevard, near Greenback Lane, in the city of Folsom on Sunday afternoon. The accident left five people, including children, with injuries. The vehicles collided around 12:12 p.m., according to reports.
An SUV, a truck hauling a trailer and a FedEx truck were all traveling along Folsom Boulevard, nearing the Lake Natoma Crossing Bridge. For reasons that remain unknown, the three vehicles collided. The damaged vehicles blocked traffic and the roadway was covered in debris, reports indicated.
The Folsom Fire Department arrived at the scene and began checking the vehicles, ready to give medical assistance to anyone in need. Initial reports indicated that they found two children and three adults with injuries. Paramedics transported the injured parties to a nearby hospital to receive treatment as investigators began working the scene. They took statements from witnesses, as well as those involved, and gathered as much evidence as they could find.
Tow trucks were called to the scene once the investigation was complete, according to reports. They removed the damaged vehicles from the roadway and crews cleaned up the debris and glass that had been left behind.
