Fresno, CA (June 21, 2024) A story out of Fresno is rapidly unfolding after a tragic car crash occurred yesterday morning.
About a quarter after midnight on Thursday, a 21-year-old man from Kerman, Amadeo Santos Menera, was driving a 2019 Nissan Versa westbound on Highway 180. Meanwhile, a 2007 Nissan Sentra was travelling eastbound. As they were approaching each other, the 21-year-old’s car drifted into the eastbound lane. This caused a head-on collision.
Devastatingly, there was a passenger in the Nissan Sentra’s car who sustained life-threatening injuries. She was rushed to the Community Regional Medical Center Fresno for treatment, but she sadly passed away. Her name was Adeline Ramos, and she was 43. She was reportedly from Selma.
Both the driver of the Nissan Sentra and Amadeo Santos Manera also sustained severe injuries, and were taken to the same medical center. The Sentra driver’s condition is not known at the time of writing. However, Manera is likely stable, as he has been arrested for DUI and vehicular manslaughter. Police reportedly booked him into the Fresno County jail.
