Cloverdale, CA (August 13, 2024) Three people on an ATV, two adults and one teenager, were involved in a collision on Saturday night, August 10th, 2024. The teenager was critically injured, officers reported, which the adults both sustained minor injuries. The accident took place on a private property, called Panther Rock Ranch, just north of Cold Water Creek Road, around 7:00 p.m.
An ATV was traveling through a private property near Cloverdale with 5 people. It suddenly collided, officers reported. After the collision, three of the passengers had sustained injuries. One of the people tried to call 911, but they couldn’t get cell service. Officers reported that the person had to hike up a hill until they could get cell service and called 911.
The California Highway Patrol arrived at the Panther Rock Ranch and found the ATV and the five occupants. A 17-year-old passenger was found with serious injuries, officers said. A California Highway Patrol helicopter H30 was called to the scene to transport the 17-year-old to a hospital to receive emergency treatment. Two adults were found with minor injuries and taken to a hospital by a Henry-1 helicopter.
The California Highway Patrol is leading the intersection into this accident, according to reports. They are still uncertain as to what caused the accident, but are determined to figure out the cause.
