Calimesa Hit-and-Run: Truck Hits 4 Cars, Causing Injuries

Calimesa, CA (July 2, 2024) A frightening collision happened on Interstate 10 in Calimesa this afternoon. At about 12:30 p.m., a person was driving a pickup truck west of the Sandalwood Drive offramp. The red truck was traveling at an unknown speed when it struck four vehicles. It’s not clear yet how these collisions unfolded.

To make matters worse, the motorist sped away. Reports say they were going in the direction of Palm Springs.

Two sedans and a van were involved in the crash, and the occupants of these vehicles were injured. At least one person suffered major injuries. The victims were taken to a hospital for treatment.

Two freeway lanes were blocked after the hit-and-run.
