UPDATE JUNE 7, 2022: Quanda McGadney has been identified as the Caltrans employee who was killed by a motorist on June 3. The California Highway Patrol reports that the driver, identified as a 31-year-old from San Francisco, has been arrested for hit-and-run and vehicular manslaughter.
McGadney is survived by a 9-year-old daughter and two sisters.
VACAVILLE, CA (June 3, 2022) – A Caltrans employee was killed Friday morning in a traffic accident on I-80 near Vacaville. According to ABC 10 News, the collision occurred near Lagoon Valley Road.
CHP in Solano County say that the westbound side of the I-80 near Vacaville is closed as a result of the accident and are asking drivers to avoid the area.
At the time of this writing, Vacaville police have not given an estimate as to when the road will reopen.
Details regarding the accident, such as number of vehicles involved, other injuries, and circumstances leading to the crash are unknown.
