(Riverside, CA) A two–vehicle crash kills a 46-year-old man driving a Volkswagen sedan in Riverside.
Bystanders sent multiple calls to the Riverside Emergency Dispatch Center at 9:35 p.m. Thursday regarding the traffic collision at the Washington Street and Gladstone Boulevard intersection, says Sgt. Tim Jenson.
The suspect driving a Chevrolet truck pulling a horse trailer crashed into the victim, who was driving a Volkswagen sedan, southbound on Washington Street according to Riverside Police Department.
Officers arrested the Chevrolet driver for driving under the influence. Unfortunately, first responders declared the driver of the Volkswagen dead due to their serious injuries.
Police report impairment and speed are the suspected factors in the collision, The department’s Major Accident Investigation Team will be conducting the investigation of the traffic collision.
