Coachella Crash Killed 1, Injured 2 On The 10 Freeway

Coachella, CA (October 7, 2024) A fatal collision on the 10 Freeway in Coachella occurred on Saturday afternoon, October 5th, 2024. Tragically, the collision claimed one person’s life and left two others with injuries. It happened at approximately 12:25 p.m., east of the Dillon Road off-ramp, officers reported.

An afternoon drive turned deadly on the 10 Freeway in Coachella on Saturday afternoon, October 5th, 2024. Initial reports indicated that a vehicle was heading west on the interstate, when it suddenly crashed for unknown reasons.

Emergency personnel with the Riverside County Fire Department arrived at the scene and rushed to help those in need of medical care. Unfortunately, they found one person with fatal injuries and pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Two other people were found with injuries, according to reports. One person had sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to a trauma center. The other injured person was taken by ambulance to a local hospital to receive treatment for minor injuries, officers reported.

The California Highway Patrol is leading the investigation into this accident and is working to determine what exactly happened. The vehicle was towed from the scene and crews cleaned up the glass and debris that littered the scene.
