Oceanside, CA (May 3, 2024) – A devastating traffic collision on southbound Interstate 5 resulted in the deaths of two individuals last week. The California Highway Patrol reported that the incident occurred around 9 p.m. on April 25, south of Cockleburr, in unincorporated San Diego County.
A 19-year-old man from Florida, driving a silver Hyundai Genesis, veered onto the shoulder and struck a parked Kenworth truck tractor, unfortunately ending his and his 21-year-old passenger’s lives. The identities of the deceased will be released through the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.
