Las Vegas, NV (July 2, 2024) Six vehicles collided on the southbound lanes of the U.S. 95 Highway in Las Vegas on Sunday evening, June 30th. The pile-up left five people with injuries, officers reported, and caused significant delays. It happened right around 5:00 p.m., at South Decatur Boulevard. Police officers are still working to determine the cause.
Highway 95 in Las Vegas was fairly busy on Sunday evening as traffic flowed on the southbound lanes. Suddenly, a chain reaction collision occurred that ended with a total of six vehicles involved. One of the vehicles ended up rollover over, Highway Patrol trooper Shawn Haggstrom reported. The six vehicles sustained pretty significant damage and blocked the southbound lanes of traffic on the highway.

The Nevada State Police Highway Patrol arrived at the scene and found five people with injuries following this collision. Paramedics arrived at the scene and began evaluating the injured. Trooper Haggstorm reported that it seemed as if none of the victims had sustained serious injuries. Officers had to close the southbound lanes of the highway and diverted traffic away from the scene, according to reports.
Troopers began investigating the scene and called for tow trucks to come and remove damaged vehicles from the highway. It took quite a while for crews to remove the debris left behind by the six-car pile-up. Officers are working to determine what caused this multi-vehicle accident on Highway 95, as well as who was responsible. The investigation is ongoing, officers reported.
