Goleta, CA (October 9, 2024) Two vehicles collided on Highway 101 in Goleta on Monday evening, October 7th, 2024. The vehicles collided near Windchester Canyon at approximately 8:00 p.m., according to reports. Four people sustained injuries in the collision, two of them were children.
A sedan and a pickup truck somehow collided on Highway 101 in Goleta, Santa Barbara County, on Monday evening. The impact caused the pickup truck to overturn and finally came to a stop on its roof on the side of the highway. The sedan came to a stop in the center median of the highway, following the collision.
When emergency crews arrived, the discovered that four people, two being children, were Injured in the accident. Paramedics took all four victims to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, via ambulances, to receive treatment for various injuries. One other person refused treatment, officers reported.
The northbound lanes of Highway 101 had to be closed so authorities could investigated the scene and clean up the mess that was left behind. A tow truck was called to remove at least one of the vehicles and crews cleaned debris and glass from the roadway. Officers continue to work on this case in an effort to determine not only what caused this collision, but who was at fault.
