Hayward, CA (September 7, 2023) – A 12 year-old girl was injured on Wednesday, September 6th, in a pedestrian accident in Hayward, CA. The accident was reported around 1:32 p.m. at Hesperian Boulevard and Sunset Boulevard.
According to the California Highway Patrol a Ford Ranger pickup truck struck the girl who was walking on or near the road. The cause of the accident is unclear at this time.

The young girl was injured by the collision, but remained conscious and breathing on her own. Hayward City and Alameda County firefighters both responded to the scene to provide assistance to the injured girl. She was promptly transported to the hospital for treatment.
The CHP is currently investigating the pedestrian accident in Hayward.
