Ramona, CA (July 5, 2024)
A tragic collision occurred on on Wednesday, July 3. At about 3:30 p.m., a 63-year-old man from Ramona was driving a pickup truck on state Route 78. He was heading west at the time.
For reasons still unknown, the man veered his Chevrolet S-10 truck to the left and endured a head-on collision with an approaching Isuzu box truck.
Tragically, the man in the Chevrolet passed away at the scene. The man driving the Isuzu truck was a 46-year-old from El Cajon, and thankfully, he didn’t sustain any injuries.
The California Highway Patrol reports that they don’t believe anyone was intoxicated in this sad crash.
