Highway 74 House Crash Caused Fire in Valle Vista

April 28,

(Valle Vista, CA) a crash in a Valle Vista home caused a fire in Riverside County.

On Monday, April 28 at 3:21 p.m., Riverside County Fire Department received reports of the Highway 74 House crash. The collision occurred along Highway 74 between Lincoln and Grant Avenues.

When the California Highway Patrol investigated, they learned the driver of a Ford F-150 lost control of their vehicle. Soon after, they veered off the highway and crashed into the single-story residence.

Soon after the crash, Riverside and Hemet Fire Departments received a call and dispatched to the crash site to find the house in flames. The fire departments sent engine crews to put out the fire caused by the Highway 74 house crash.

After assessing the accident, firefighters determined no one was inside the house, and the driver of the pickup truck got out of the wreck by himself, suffering minor injuries. It was unclear to police if anyone lived at the property, and no word on the condition of the pickup driver requiring medical attention after being assessed.
