GALT, CA (May 19, 2022) – A car accident involving two vehicles collided on Highway 99 in Galt, resulting in one death according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP said that the Sacramento County crash involved a minivan and a flatbed big rig that was stationary on the shoulder of Highway 99, just north of Simmerhorn Road.
One of the drivers died as a result of the accident, but CHP officials didn’t specify which vehicle the decedent was in.
One lane was closed temporarily due to the accident.
