A passenger in a vehicle, reported to be involved in a street race, died after a rollover crash on Interstate 580.
Dispatchers received the report of an overturned Toyota Camry in Livermore at 5:32 PM on Sunday. When officers arrived at the scene they found an injured passenger who had been ejected from the Toyota. The injured passenger was declared dead at the scene.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the driver of the crashed vehicle and one other surviving passenger fled the scene in another vehicle, a white SUV of unknown make. Both appeared to have suffered serious injuries.
The crash is being investigated as a fatal hit-and-run. CHP officers are seeking information about the driver, surviving passenger, and the white SUV involved in the street racing crash.
