Jada Johnson, 15, Killed in Blythe Crash On I-10

Blythe, CA (September 3, 2024) Tragedy struck the community of Blythe following an accident that claimed a 15-year-old girl’s life. Jada Johnson, a Nebraska resident, was killed in a collision on Sunday evening, September 1st, 2024. The fatal accident happened just before 6:00 p.m. on Interstate 10, not far from the Blythe Airport.

15-year-old Jada Johnson from Bellevue, Nebraska, tragically lost her life on Sunday. The vehicle that Johnson was riding in, collided on Interstate 10 in Blythe, right around 5:55 p.m, not far from the Mesa Exit. The California Highway Patrol arrived at the scene and, sadly, pronounced Johnson dead at the scene. The Riverside County Coroner’s Office was called to the scene and officers began investigating the accident. At this time, it is unknown if anyone else was injured in this collision.

Officers are working to uncover what happened on that stretch of interstate on Sunday evening, as well as who was at fault. The scene was somber as crews cleaned up the debris and tow-trucks hauled damaged vehicles off the interstate.
