Las Vegas, NV (June 13, 2024) In a tragic car accident, a 27-year-old named Jade Ashlee Hernandez passed away on Sunday, June 9.
Authorities state that the crash took place at 2:04 a.m. on the westbound off-ramp of US95 and Lake Mead Boulevard. They say that a Las Vegas woman driving a Nissan SUV and two passengers were travelling in the far-right lane when she tried to exit off State Route 147.
Instead of staying in the lane, the car went left into an unpaved section of the road. This caused the Nissan to rotate and flip over. Jade Ashlee Hernandez reportedly died on the scene. The other passenger was transported to a local hospital with severe injuries, but luckily, she survived the crash.
Police arrested the driver on suspicion of impaired driving, as well as related charges. She was arrested and taken to the Clark County Detention Center, where she was booked.
