LOS ANGELES, CA (NOVEMBER 7, 2023): 28-year-old Julio Aldaco has died and another person is hospitalized following a two-vehicle collision in South LA last week.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the incident occurred on Sunday, November 5th at around 6:20 a.m. near South Central and East Slauson avenues, when the two vehicles impacted under unclear circumstances.

Emergency personnel, including the Los Angeles Fire Department, were dispatched to the scene shortly after, where they discovered Aldaco in critical condition. Paramedics attempted life resuscitating measures, but unfortunately Aldaco died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner. He was from Huntington Park.
Paramedics also discovered another person who had sustained injuries from the impact of the collision. They were transported to an area hospital, where their current condition remains unknown.
A description of the two vehicles or the manner in which they collided is unclear as of yet. Los Angeles authorities will continue to investigate this crash that resulted in the death of Julio Aldaco.
