San Diego, CA (October 30, 2024) A speeding vehicle crashed into a light pole in Kearny Mesa at 3:19 a.m. today. Two passengers were seriously injured.
Officers responded to the scene in the 8000 block of Daggert Street. A driver in a Kia Optima was speeding eastbound and crashed into a light pole at the end of the street.
One passenger who was in the backseat without a seatbelt sustained “serious internal injuries.” The other suffered a fractured jaw. Both were taken to a hospital, but there has not yet been updates on their condition.
The driver was not injured.
